Just downloaded Flipboard for my iPad and I am impressed. I think this might become my primary app for catching up on the news stories. Check out the video below for a demo or you can download it here.

Recently Sandra and I took a trip to Napa Valley where we went wine tasting at the Napa Valley Wine Castle, Castello di Amorosa. It is a 13th century, 107 room, Tuscan style Castle and Winery. More pictures of our trip can be seen here, or you can watch the video here.

I think aim going to have to buy one of these new Mophie juice packs as soon as they start shipping. I can easily attach it to my keychain, and always have a backup battery. [Mophie]

Ever since I joined Gowalla I now find myself tying to commission new locations or become a founder in order to gain a new Stamp and/or Pin. If you aren’t familiar with Gowalla here is a short description from the website:
“Gowalla is a location based social travel game that rewards you for visiting both extraordinary and everyday places with your iPhone. In other words, it’s a bit like having a passport on your iPhone that displays “stamps” from all the places you visit.
In addition to collecting stamps from real-world locations, Gowalla also lets you gather virtual souvenirs, or icons, that can be dropped for others to find. Think of it like virtual geocaching.”

Just ordered a Spykee robot from amazon.com. The robot has a built in webcam with 2-way audio communication. It’s also controllable via Wi-Fi using the desktop application.

I have now switched over my online backups from Mozy to CrashPlan. I have found that Mozy can sometimes be unreliable by not backing up all my files, and sometimes not backing up at all. CrashPlan seems like a viable alternative plus I like how it emails you backup reports which give you confirmation that your data is being backed up. It will even email you if your system hasn’t been backed up after a certain amount of days. Check out the above video for more info.
